Ubud, Bali — Sometimes, the most meaningful things don’t require much. A few books, a little bit of time, and a desire to share can turn an ordinary day into something truly special. This spirit was the driving force behind a library visit organized by Supala Villa Management, in collaboration with the Indonesian Children’s Literacy Foundation (YLAI), to SD Negeri 1 Pering (October 8).
During this visit, our team had the opportunity to spend time with the students, sharing simple yet enriching experiences through reading sessions and other activities. There is something truly special about being in a space where curiosity takes the lead—a place where every book holds a unique story, and where learning unfolds through simple, interactive moments.
We also brought a selection of books to expand the school’s existing collection. While it may seem like a modest contribution, each book holds a story waiting to be discovered, new vocabulary to be learned, and the potential for imagination to flourish.
For us, this visit served as a reminder that being a part of Bali means more than just working within its tourism industry. It also means taking the time to connect with the surrounding community and recognizing the many small ways we can contribute. We may not know which book will become a child’s favorite, or which story they will still remember years from now. However, we hope that the books we shared will reach curious young minds and inspire many more moments of reading in the future. A brief visit, a shared experience—and hopefully, many more stories yet to be created.
